The
same old story: a small town cheap culture but so many dump basements
outskirts; a close big city and its bad influence: Italian posse,
Mediterranean sound, popular tradition; love for Beatles and Rolling
Stones and soon after American underground discovery; spasmodic
pursuit of 80's vinyl reissues; the paisley underground, (new)
psychedelic sounds, garage rock and fuckin' first love: punk!
Here we are!!!
In the early 90's Bruno (drums), Giulio (bass) and Renato (guitar)
played in a band called Ivoltri. "A little bit prog"
as some said, "A little bit heavy" as someone else said,
but definitely rock & roll. That same rock & roll kicked
out the birth of Funny Dunny.
The female voice isn't rough enough: here it comes Marco. The
rooted-up and absent-minded guitarist has been substituted by
Marcello.
Sonics, Standells, 13th Floor Elevators, Pretty Things, Matadors,
Zipps, Seeds, Birds, Action...fallen in love with covers!!!!
Original songs suggested by Davies' humor reflect a 60's aesthetic
attitude.
